2021 Scholarship, Leadership & Citizenship
Award Recepients

The Scholarship, Leadership & Citizenship Award is given to graduates who have lived out Ashesi’s core values during their time at the university. These awardees have contributed in outstanding ways to Ashesi’s mission and have had a strong impact on the Ashesi Community. This is the highest award a student can receive at Ashesi and it is presented by the President of the University.

The Premature baby incubator project made of bamboo and other natural materials created by Khadijahtu Mohammed won prizes - Best Early Stage and Most Desirable Venture - at the 2020 Ashesi Business Exhibition​.

The Ashesi Experiential Transcript captures students’ endeavours in ways that demonstrate their assimiliatin of the teaching of Ashesi University’s learning goals: ethical, entrepreneurial leaders in Africa with critical thinking skills, effective communication skills, practical experience, concern for others and the courage to transform the continent.

Under Ashesi’s core pillars of Scholarship, Leadership and Citizenship, students will provide information on their transformation through self-initiated experiences during their four-year university education on an annual basis. This information will be verified and recorded in an official transcript from the university. The Academic Affairs departments reserves the right to determine what information appears on the final transcript.
