Beyond The Classroom

Ignite Hackathon

As part of academic requirements to graduate, all seniors are expected to undertake one of three Capstone options: (a) Thesis: an independent research study; (b) Applied Project: an independent study focused on solving real-life challenges of existing organizations; or (c) Entrepreneurship: entrepreneurial opportunity exploration, business model development and validation through customer development.

Ignite 2022

Igniting the next graduating class in a two-day hackathon opened to juniors across all majors: Engineering, Business Administration, Computer Science and Management Information Systems, and gets students started on this Capstone journey.

The objective of this event is to create a collaborative platform for students to work together and explore areas of interest in which they could offer a capstone, be it a Thesis, an Applied Project, or a Startup.

Ashesi Business Exhibition

The Ashesi Business Exhibition is part of the Ashesi Entrepreneurship Center’s efforts to unearth the potential in ventures that come out of the various departments of the University to the entrepreneurial ecosystem in Ghana. This was the fifth exhibition since its inception in May 2017. This exhibition is a tool for all guests and other collaborators to interact and engage with these ventures for mutually beneficial outcomes. We look forward to fruitful collaborations at every exhibition, in our bid to develop the next generation of ethical entrepreneurial leaders needed to transform this continent. Reach out to aec@ashesi.edu.gh if you want to collaborate or engage with a specific venture.
