Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program at Ashesi began in 2011, and it has undergone two more phases subsequently in 2016 and 2019.

The relationship between the two is founded on a simple but powerful and binding premise: Ashesi and MCF aim to educate a new generation of leaders in Africa equipped and motivated, and with the courage it will take to transform the continent.

Ashesi Mission:

To educate new generation of ethical, entrepreneurial leaders in Africa. To cultivate within our students the critical thinking skills the concern for others, and the courage it will take to transform their continent
